Property of the National Museum, Stockholm Bengt Nordenberg 1822-1902, artist, active for the most part in Blekinge and, after 1870, Düsseldorf. Nordenberg had an ambition to show the life of ordinary people in his paintings, and he is thought of today as one of the most important members of the so-called Düsseldorf school, which during the latter part of the 19th century depicted the world of farmers and manual laborers without too much social criticism.
